Yesterday afternoon marked the VIP night of this year’s bi-annual Rebecca Minkoff Sample Sale.Since we were co-hosting the sale, Megs and I were invited to enter an hour before the doors opened to the public to check out the goods, mingle with celebs like Michelle Trachtenberg of Gossip Girl and chat with the RM team.

The initial onslaught of shoppers hit right when the doors opened at 4pm.An hour after the opening the line of awaiting shoppers actually vanished off 5th Avenue, just to then resurge with people leaving work around 6:30pm.Friends told us that the line eventually wrapped nearly two blocks by 8-9pm.

Advice to our readers:Take the afternoon off work and hit future sample sales about an hour after opening, you will encounter little to no waiting lines.And don’t forget to check out PurseBlog periodically for more VIP invites to sample sales around the country!
