Touching Emotional Healing or Social Inconvenience-

A newborn babys obvious need for closeness to the mother is what we naturally expect. What we dont expect is that touching and closeness to other people is a major ingredient for a healthy and balanced life.
Your childrens emotional life depends on you.
It is no secret that kids with loving and caring parents who are hugging and showing physical affection are more emotionally healthy.
It is accepted and normal to play, touch and hug your kids. Both you and your kids are feeling good and it develops an emotional deep bound with your children.
Every day I look forward to coming home, getting a big warm hug from my 2.5 year old daughter, Miracle. It totally opens my heart and makes me feel that nothing else matters.
Kids are growing up faster than we really want and suddenly much of the hugging and playing is over. Most likely, your kids will still enjoy a big warm hug if they were hugged through their childhood.
Are you hugging friends and strangers as well?
Every day you meet friends and other people that you might not know so well. Are you hugging them a too? If you do, how do they react?
There are so many different ways of touching a person and you do not need to hug someone to show love or affection.
A gentle touch on the shoulder or a two hand handshake will add more feelings to the touch, all depending on how much emotion you put into it.
Have you noticed that when you shake hands with an old person they never want to let go of your hand. I believe that an old person again turns more into a kid, craving for love and closeness.
Do adults need to touch each other?
As an adult you might be lucky to live with a partner that care for you and still enjoy your closeness and love. It is a wonderful feeling to just share a life with someone you trust and love. It is not important to have sex all the time as long as you can be close and hold each other.
Unfortunately not everyone is lucky to live together with a partner due to many circumstances in life. Living alone or being a single mum or dad is more common nowadays than before.
Although we live alone we need to have someone to hold and touch to maintain our emotional health.
Animals as best friends.
Animals natural behavior is to be close to each other and even help each other with cleaning and relieving themselves from insects and fleas.
Everyone that has a dog will know that it is a wonderful feeling to come home and be greeted by your dog that is always happy to see you.
Dogs and cats plus many other animals play a big roll on our emotional life and we get just as attached to them as we do to humans.
Will you hug me when I am old?
Someone told me about a grandmother that was in the hospital waiting to die. She was still conscious but could not speak anymore. A granddaughter that was very close to the old woman watched over her and new that the time for her crossing over came close.
When nobody watched her, she slipped into the old womans bed and held her for a moment. They both shared a short time of closeness and warmth before she passed away a few hours later.
Help yourself and other people in your life to open up the heart, showing a loving touch which can brighten up another person for a long time.
The world is technically advanced but starved in feelings and emotions. Let us change it with a loving touch.
